The Breakdown

The Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension Project will provide a critical extension for the existing Toronto Transit subway system. The subway will extend to the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station as the last stop on the newly extended subway route. The newly minted Vaughan stop will also offer neighbouring commuters an YRT Bus Terminal and connection to a future VIVA Rapidway.

The new subway project will extend 8.6 kilometres, stating at the existing Downsview station and ending in Vaughn.

The new stations (six in total) have been designed to achieve key goals and provide exceptional customer service through integrated design, bright open space and barrier-free access.

New Toronto Rockets will be purchased for the project, providing a swift and state-of-the-art experience.
